Will be on The Young Turks on Air America tomorrow morning at 7:00 AM EST for our weekly discussion of Republican Sexcapades.

I wonder if The Bill O'Reilly vs. Andrea Mackris Opera will come up?

Some more thoughts from our consultant friend Brett:

Since election day, I've been asked by several people, what my favorite thing was about Tuesday? Well, some great people, like Gov. Jennifer Granholm won, while some truly despicable folks, like Santorum and J. D. Hayworth lost.

But what made me happiest is the thought that somewhere, Zell Miller was pissed off. Again. Probably threatening a speakerphone and complaining to challenging an empty picture frame to a duel. How do you like me now, Zig Zag? (ed: Brett better be careful as Zell is probably using his sonar hearing to close in on his location forthwith).

And how does Brett feel about the "Dems are conservative" meme I dismantled on MSNBC?

As a little addendum to Cliff's appearance on MSNBC, I'd like to point out, once again, the hypocrisy of Republicans and the lapdog media. During the election season, Republicans tried to tar Heath Shuler, Jon Tester and even Brad Ellsworth as liberals, or as folks who support the liberal agenda (See quotes below).

Now that they are elected, Republicans are saying that the election of these so-called "liberals" are proof that the Democrats are becoming more conservative. So, either the Republicans were lying about Shuler, Tester and Ellsworth before, or they are lying about them now. Either way, they're lying, and maybe that's something the press ought to pick up, instead of this Rovian talking point...

Taylor says Shuler lacks the experience needed to be effective in Washington and portrays him as a pawn of "outsiders" who want liberal Democrats to take over the House.

While Burns touted events that his campaign said were aimed at showing Tester is liberal Tester is highlighting ethics and taxes.

The Associated Press State & Local Wire, October 25, 2006

"Will Brad Ellsworth vote for liberal Democrat Nancy Pelosi for Speaker of the House? Ellsworth has taken money from her PAC," says one GOP ad that ran this fall. "Pelosi and other Democrats want to raise your taxes, cut and run in Iraq and give amnesty to illegal immigrants"

More Cliff! From MSNBC Nov. 12:

I am going on the Bill Mazer radio show (based in New York) today at 3PM EST. Listen at WVOX if you are in range, or go here if you're not and still interested.

Who knows what GOP propaganda we will take apart...

Breaking: GOP Hypocrites On Iraq/WOT Again!

I know everyone must be shocked by this. Because a group of straight talkers like the Bush Administration would never, say, attack someone's patriotism and ideology over a statemement they made regarding The War on Terror or Iraq and then adopt the very same rhetoric/policy.

If that kind of thing happened people like Richard Clark, John Dilulio, Paul O'Neill, David Kuo, Eric Shaeffer, Rand Beers, Joe Wilson, Colin Powell and others would quit and then either quite explicitly or a bit more subtly tell us these guys are nothing but second-rate liars.

Oh right.

In this case, Noah Shachtman of Defensetech.org, points out how THE EXACT language that the Bushies called John Kerry weak for using in regard to the War on Terrorism only two years ago, is now being parroted by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Peter Pace, regarding the very same issue.

I'm ready for the right to inevitably crush this man, as they did Kerry, for being so dangerously feeble.

In these two hilarious pieces, Bob Cesca and Matt Taibbi say everything there is to say about the collection of misanthropes we have had running our country (and in many cases--like say, I don't know, somewhere along Pennsylvania Avenue--still do).
